Projects

Pathways for getting involved in work focused on the western United States are plentiful and include coursework, field trips, independent research projects, paid research assistant jobs, research degrees, and internships. Students often interact and work directly with western partners such as federal and state agencies, non-profits, landowners and land managers, researchers,  and policy makers. Topics of study are diverse and often interdisciplinary, including social, ecological, historical, and economic considerations. Information regarding a few select projects can be found on the left.
